Wet Felting Slippers for adult or child or baby workshop with Chris Hall of Cake Tin Hats

In this workshop you will create a pattern (template) for your slippers, select colours and then create your own pair of felted slippers using beautiful Gotland wool (adult) or merino wool (child/baby). We will use a resist technique and seamless felting construction method. If the slippers you make are for someone other than yourself you will need to bring a tracing of both feet belonging to the person you will be making for them for.
Skills required: Advanced class – requires previous felting experience. Felting skills involve everything from delicate hand and finger dexterity to strong physical effort in the arm and shoulder area and requires some standing. Maximum 4 participants.

Materials included in the workshop: merino wool or Gotland wool, template material, bubble wrap, pool noodle, soap slurry and felting tools will be available.
Students are required to bring: Two old bath towels, two old hand towels, a bucket, measuring tape (I will have a measuring tape available so don’t go and buy one specially!), sharp scissors, an apron or change of top (not necessary but just in case you get wet) and your lunch (or there is a cafe located across the street).
Cost of full day workshop, including materials is $140.00 (plus HST).
Call Rosehaven Yarn Shop between 10 and 5 at 613-476-9092 to pay for you workshop and hold your place.
Cancellations will be refunded if notified a 30 days in advance of workshop date.  Less than 30 days before the workshop no refunds will be given.
