xThe workshop will focus on working creatively in exploring and concentrating on surface designing. We will explore the structures and rough surface using different techniques and materials to create a very beautiful wearable coat.
While focusing on designing and making a one-piece nuno-felted A-line coat.
Students will learn how to create and to add box pleats and extra float accent into the coats to create a princess line coat.
They will develop and enlarge their own pattern with a very simple, but effective method that will help them develop their own pattern that will suit and fit them.
In addition we will be creating textures on the surface to create a very creative coat.
Students will get to work with all kinds of fibers, fabrics and raw wool to create the textures to their own liking.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to create your new one piece long or short sleeved and fashionable spring coat.
Students will also learn how to enlarge a normal pattern into a felting pattern using my simple basic techniques I use in my work.

No sewing needed.

Basic felting experience required.

  1. I have heard nothing but wonderful and positive comments about Charity and the all the workshops she has taught worldwide. She is teaching in New Zealand, Great Britain and the US this year! We are so lucky to have her coming to Canada in June! Do not miss this opportunity!

  2. Having taken Pam De Groots workshop last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it I cannot wait to take part in Charity,s workshop, I have been drooling over her designs and look forward to learning from her.
Well done,Chris, for convincing Lesley that this was a good idea!
