Rose Haven Farm Store has taken on a new life and is now Rosehaven Yarn Store with it’s very own online shop!

Linda Swaine the creator and owner of Rose Haven has retired and sold the business to me, Lesley Snyder, yarn addict, fibre junkie, along with fibre artist!

I currently own the Galloping Goat which is my eclectic little gift shop in Black River on my property by the river in my heritage barn. The Galloping Goat will continue as always with my good friend Bill Stearman along with my kids Leah and Quinn to host all our visitors. My husband Tim has his own thing going on in Picton called Ton-up Creative where he dreams up great designs, logos and political cartoons for the local paper and local businesses.

Now I get to go and play with yarn and fibre at one of my favourite hangouts, Rosehaven in Picton, Ontario. Picton is the cute little town in the hub of Prince Edward County, one of the most beautiful spots in Ontario, heck maybe even Canada, but then I am biased!

We fondly refer to our area as “The County” and it has a bit of something for everyone, including the goregous white sand beaches at Sandbanks, plus lots of wineries, fabulous restaurants and some very talented artists and their galleries.

Rosehaven has been a store in Picton, Ontario for 7 years and has become established as thee place to find funky fibres and yarn. Rose Haven actually started out 25 years ago on a farm in British Columbia selling fibres straight off the sheep, hand spun yarns and even meat. Today we have diversified a great deal more to now offering an amazing selection of hard to find yarns in numerous natural fibres.

We strive to carry yarns that are unique and hard to acquire for our customers. Now the shopping will be even easier with our online store and if you don’t see it available online email or call us because we probably have it in the actual shop and just haven’t got it online yet.
