We carry loads of unique yarns in our funky little shop in Picton, Ontario. Picton is the town that is in the middle of gorgeous Prince Edward County, just a few hours east of Toronto and west of Ottawa. Lake Ontario surrounds Prince Edward County but we have a few bridges and a ferry boat to make us easily accessible.
Our online shop has most of the items that we carry but not everything so don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or email if there is something you are looking for that you don’t see on the website.
We also carry in our downstairs area a large range coloured Merino and Corriedale rovings for spinning and felting. Plus needle felting needles, variegated merino rovings and bolts of white or black 100% silk gauze or habotai for nuno felting.
We have a wide selection of hand crafted items from our local, knitters, felters and spinners so drop by see the fabulous finished items. Along with that we have the Ontario made Thermohair socks that are incredibly warm and the Quebec made Garneau slippers so you will always have toasty toes wearing either item.
In the shop we have a number of books and individual patterns but we do find that most of the patterns wanted by customers we find on Ravelry for them. We are happy to locate a pattern to go with the yarn that you purchase but we do charge for the printing of the pattern in the shop. Keep in mind on busy days we sometimes aren’t able to spend a lot of time looking for you so make sure you check out Ravelry ahead of time so you are ready for your yarn search.
Ravelry is a free website with 35,000 free patterns and run by volunteers. It is a safe place to join as a member and a great resource for all knitters and crocheters, which is probably why it has 5 milion members to date!
We are on Ravelry.com as a store if you want to friend us and post what you bought from us there.
